Im hoping to build in the coming year. I bought the site with FPP. but there are a few things i would like to change. Nothing major but i dont know if i will get away without having to reapply. Changes are : a stone finish to 2 walls, a porthole window on front wall of house, an attic window on gable of house which cant be seen from the road. Anyone know if i would get away with these changes?

I'm gonna show you as gently as I can how much you don't know.

Pop in and chat with one of the lads in the PD.
When I was there I accepted such basic changes as long as you submitted the required elevations etc

Try this document. It should give you all the details you need however the change of finishes might be an issue.

They all sound pretty basic if you are building in the south of Ireland and you should be able to proceed without any red tape. Internal changes and changes to the appearance of the back of the house never need planning. I had allot of minor changes from the plans as i was building. From changing a Patio door to a window, to slightly changing the direction of the house. I did not go near a planner as this would have cost me more money and time. As far as i was concerned, the changes were so small, I was only bringing trouble on myself highlighting them.

There's planning permission in the south?!
