I always felt 08 was the one that got away for Kerry and it would of put to bed a lot of arguments ala who was the team of the decade debate . Kerry were the best team in Ireland in 08 but just had this unexplainable problem with beaing Tyrone. Sadly this will be the reasoning why that team is not held in as high regard of the previous Kerry golden era.

True, 2008 is the one that would stick in my craw a bit. Had the team to win that game and didn't for a variety of reasons. Poor team selection, poor use of bench, bad tactics. Tyrone looked fitter that day aswell. Had Packie McConnell not made the fantastic save from Dec Sull it may have been different but when Bryan Sheehan just shanked the 45 wide after that, the whole thing seemed to fall asunder. Were going for 3 in a row that day which would have been unbelievable in the modern era, but can have no complaints about the end result really.
2005 Tyrone were value for the win. That was a good game aswell, still watch it back every now and then. Canavan's point from the Cusack side after Tomás goaled was just outrageous!
