Great news.. Madness to think that Tipp might have to play them again to win All Ireland after beating them twice

Yeah both could meet again in the All Ireland final. Well done to Tipp some talent coming through.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Still trying to gather my thoughts after that thriller, but once again it was a stunning come back by Tipperary.   These lads are a great bunch of footballers, but the character in the team is something else.  Once again David Power made vital changes to turn the game from 7 points behind to win by a goal.  This really is a golden generation of minor footballers for Tipperary.  This win is up there with last year's All Ireland Final.

Would take more to top last year's final i reckon. The strength in depth was the difference between Tipp & the rest last year when you could bring on the like's of Quirke,Kennedy (both starters now) how strong is the tipp bench this year?
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Even greater madness to think that in Ulster, Armagh minors who scored 19 points against Tyrone in the first round, don't even get a second chance.
Careful now

The same rules should apply in all 4 provinces. If they can have a backdoor in Munster and Leinster, why not in Ulster and Connacht. They can just bring the games forward and it would be no problem and wouldn't affect the Leaving Cert. Cavan had a good minor team this year, i dont think would have slipped up twice.

It was madness yes, but they did concede 4-11.

It's a matter for each Provincial Council to decide.
Why not have the Champions decided by straight knock out and then all the losers play for the second Quarter Final spot ?

We're going to bring home the SAM

Some sort of re-jig would help.

Serious talent in Tipp, they had some good u21 teams in 2010 and 09. winning Munster both years aswell i think.? It's a pity for the footballers that they lose some of the better players to Hurling.  No reason why they couldn't rattle Cork/Kerry in a few years, if them players develop.

Another good win today but Tipperary need to be winning games at Senior as well. They are away to Wexford next weekend, a tough but winnable game. If Tipp could go on a bit of a run through the qualifiers and hand some experience to the under 21s coming through it would compliment the success they are having at underage

Of course, nothing can compare to an All Ireland win.  I suppose I was letting the excitement of todays game get to me.  However, Tipp have been on the losing side against Kerry so often in all grades, that a win over Kerry is always sweet.  With regards to strength of the bench, 3 of the subs who came on for Tipp today were on the starting 15 for last year's All Ireland Final.  Colin O'Riordan, John McGrath and TJ Ryan all started in last year's game against Dublin.   O'Riordan & McGrath would have started today, but they are coming back after injuries.

I don't think this is the year for making a run in the qualifiers, Tipp had a very poor league and were relegated and most of the minors last year are minors this year too. It'll be a few years yet before they make a rattle at senior - we know that better than anyone else.

There is a lot of work being done at underage football, flagshipped by the Minors and Under 21s. The real trick is turning them into Seniors, of course, but there is a will in Tipp to make this work.
