In 4 billion years our galaxy is going to collide with another one.

I think it's time we start putting things away in case we survive and just need to ride the wave til things settle again. I'm thinking like building an underground larder and fill it full of stuff until the cloud and dust tone it down a bit.

I also think we should leave remnants in a box of what this generation was like in case we're all killed and the next evolutionary process gets to human point. (CDs, DVDs, clothes, ipads, car engines, lawnmowers, brooms, settees etc) etc.

When I'm playing golf and stuck in the trees, I aim the ball through the trees because they are 90% air. However 90% of the time my ball hits a branch and ends up behind me, or out of bounds.

The same thing applies to our galaxy, roughly. Last time I checked, there was a helluva lot of space between our stars and planets in the Milky Way. Therefore I am betting that the galaxies will pass by each other with the only side effects being a few additonal thunder storms and some 18 handicappers getting struck by lightning.

Rubbish.

December 21st this year has been scientifically proven by the Mayans as curtains for us all.
I'm doing my bit by not paying any mortgage repayments or speeding tickets until at least the 1st week of January 2013.
For f%cks sake do not buy a Christmas tree this year.
Smart and all as the Mayans were they didn't see the Spanish coming but it could be as good as any defense if I'm prosecuted in the future

We could leave some tapes/DVDs of Kerry Dublin games from the 70s and 80s to show future generations how football should be played.
