Sounds too good to be true but imagine how easy commuting would be were it happen. Ladeens could commute to Australia or the US for work in the morning and back home for evening tea.

Absolutely no reason why not. Needs a bit of R&D though. Keeping long pipes evacuated would be the biggest challenge, I think. I could see it being used for cargo first before being rated for passenger use. Depressurization of a capsule with people in it would not be very nice.

Maybe possible in theory but the practicalities of actually constructing / running it make it a long shot. Website itself looks like a bit of a scam to me

Elon Musk is supposed to be working on a similar concept. He stands a good chance of pulling it off IMHO.

One between Belfast and Liverpool would be some job, home every day in 10 minutes.

I think it would be easy for some nutter to blow one of these up, not a nice thought for those inside, a long pipe is very vulnerable and hard to protect.

Any less vulnerable than a train with tracks and public times?

Threat of terrorism shouldn't even be a concern.

The simplest ideas are always the best but won't be created in our lifetimes.
