There is a Renshaw's & Orpheus/Karma Reunion coming up soon which may tickle your fancy

Got word of this last night. Should be some night.  ;D

Take_Yer_Points has pinpointed a decent selection though I'd avoid the Spainard because if you're with any sort of a group you'll basically fill the place and I personally hate Cafe Vaudeville. A undesireable mix of pretentious and tacky. Rain is sadly definitely open, got dragged along a week or so ago.
As I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead

Minder

Agree with TAM, Cafe Vaudeville is pretentious in the extreme, sadly a trait of a few bars in Belfast, and Rain is a sweaty, dirty hole.

Northern Star, Whites and the John Hewitt for the first few pints, all fairly close together and also near Ollies (I will take Rois' word for it as a good out out venue). You could take in the Nortehrn Whig or the Cloth Ear if you want to gradually transition from out to out out.

Franko

Has anyone put their nose in the door of this new El Divino place yet?  Any good?

Will be some tractors getting power-hosed in advance of that!

If staying in bruce st theres a few very handy bars on your doorstep. Auntie annies, filthy mcnasties, stiff kitten and katy dalys all very close by and all dead on.

Myself and 4 other Mexicans are making the trip in a few weekends time for a rip.

Good info re bus tours already posted in this thread which we'll have to have a look at.

Any good spots for a pint(preferably not in the Village,Sandy row, Shankhill areas) :D and to go out?
Out or "out" out?

love that phrase!

The Iceman

Your best bet is the Duke of York AZ I would imagine. You can't go wrong with the John Hewitt and a couple of other wee bars nearby.
Good drinks, good craic and you can hear each other.
I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight

A crossbow bolt has been fired at door staff outside Rain. Enough said!
