I suggested that it's because he's not actually that intelligent

If the best you can come up with.... is a puerile, playground-style jibe....
What is "puerile" about suggesting that a particular politician isn't very bright - especially when there is ample evidence to prove it?

OK, Adams may not be quite so thick as eg Willie McCrea, but he's self-evidently not so intelligent as eg Martin McGuinness (if that choice of comparitors is acceptable to you).

Which is why (imo) he has made nowhere the same impact in ROI politics as eg McGuinness has done.

Which is only what Lar Naparka was wondering about in the first place.

Do try to keep up...  ::)

Adams topped the poll in louth and became a td. Mcguinness a long way back in the presidential race. Dare I ask how you think mcguinness is better received than Adams?

Ah the irony is lost on you! To borrow your exceptionally arrogant phrase....do try to keep up.

Although the question was: Would you say you are satisfied or dissatisfied with the way Mr. Adams is doing his job as leader of Sinn Fein?
Now if you supported another party, you might look at that question another way altogether. And still answer: 'satisfied'.  :P

Although looking at today's international news, even at 48%, he's no Kim Jong-il!

These polls are like assessing Messi at hurling. They are completely irrelevant. The only question in politics is what way will you vote at the next election.
