One thing that can never be taken away from Ulster football was the unique achievements from 1992 until 2003. Five different counties won the All Ireland from the province of Ulster. An incredible achievement and over this period of time Ulster was the dominant province with incredible strength in depth.

Between 1996-2001 I would say Connacht was the strongest province. Galway contested 3 Finals and won 2, Mayo contested another 2 Finals. Mayo won the League Final in that period also. Consistent Connacht teams contesting and winning the Club Championship also.
Time to take a more chill-pill approach to life.

Its great that there is no Ulster team in the final to ruin it with their negative tactics. Its a credit to Dublin and Kerry that they continue to be the standard bearers for Gaelic football the way it should be played. Some of you lads need wise up and start showing more appreciation of these two counties because otherwise you will end up with the tripe that Donegal play and every game will be 0-3 to 0-2

i've been more impressed with dublin and kildare this year than kerry. kerry are just too slick. there's no effort on show almost and it's always like they're in second gear. as a spectacle, the games kerry have played in have been non-events. absolutely zero drama every time. who wants to see that? good luck to you if you do.

Are you serious Mike Dublin were one of the most defensive teams i saw this year through out the league they played with 12 or 13 men behind the ball at all times so dont be kidding yourself . As for Dublin being standard bearers for gaelic the way it should be played is plain silly . This is their 1st final in 16 years thats hardly credentials for being standard bearers . Kerry on the other hand are the ones to get credit for their hunger ,desire and style of play

Does that mean we finally get credit for winning All Irelands in 1997 and again in 2000 when beating the "incredible strength in depth" presented by Ulster's finest, Cavan and Armagh in those Semi finals ?

MGHU, God Help you, as delusional as ever!  Only in your logic could someone equate Galway winning two All Irelands and Mayo's National League victory with five different Ulster Counties winning the All Ireland in little over a decade.

Snoop I am well aware that Down were winners in 1991 however by starting with 1992 this allowed me to highlight the fact that Ulster had have different counties win the All Ireland over an 11 year period.

It took you long enough to beat Armagh, but yous did have Maurice Fitz.
