Cavan - U21/Minor double

Congrats to Cavan on a brilliant season so far (seniors aside).

Looking this up today a few facts jumped out.

* This is the 1st year no team from the North has won either a Minor,U21 or senior county title.

* Only Tyrone have won all 3 in a season ( 3 times)

* The 3 Southern counties in Ulster have won 4 of the last 6 Ulster county titles - Could there be a shift in the balance of power?

* Good omen for Cavan - other teams who have won  U21 and minor in the same season. Down late 70s, Derry early 80s and Tyrone early 00s have went on to Ulster senior and AI success within 10 years.

Thanks for the good wishes and it's great to have some small bit of hope after a fair few lean years. Now sorry to be a pedant but you could correct the above statement to say that Cavan and Donegal have won 4 of the last 6 etc. etc. You'd hate to be bigging up the three free state counties as a collective now, eh ;)
