Lads, we no longer have to put up with RTE's shambolic commentary and analysis.
Mute the TV and stick on Newstalk.
God their coverage is so much better it's scary.
Mind you, this was for the hurling and I believe David Brady will be involved in their football coverage.  :-[
He'll provide a bit of comic relief anyway (not intentionally though).
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Yeah Newstalk is great... of you live South of Dundalk!
I can only get it when I travel south. Loose it when I head north. REALLY annoying!!

ross4life

Would the radio commentary to be a few seconds ahead?
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Jinxy

It was actually way behind for the first half of the hurling.
Dunno why but they got it sorted.
There seemed to be little or no delay for the 2nd half.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Dinny Breen

Whose the Newstalk hurling commentator?

A bit agriculture but not bad, Joe Deane and Daíthí Regan are a pleasure to listen to.

Agricultural is right Dinny, didn't get the name. Very enjoyable broadcast all the same, especially Murphs insights from the sideline.

Did Brady clatter you or steal your girlfriend?  If not he should have, if only to give you a reason to be  salty and poisoned.

Ah will u shtop David.  :D

Newstalk previewing weekend games this evening. Liam Hayes loves the sound of his own voice. Brutal analysis to be honest.

"Roscommon have been as big a team as Mayo over the last 20 years", "Losing the 2 Bradleys may work in Derry's favour".

Newstalk covering Armagh v Wicklow this weekend also.

David's analysis can be delivered a bit too fasht at times..tis too "shpeedy".

BTW, that rubbish Hayes came out with is hardly surprising..the man has come out with some real off the wall stuff..even this year already he said that Dublin have a far superior forward line to Kerry, etc..

Mannix either you're stephenite (no 1 DB fan/stalker now serving restraining order in OZ)  or DB himself.

muppet

DB is great.

p.s. so is Obama.

Apparently he said "this game will be in the mental pot" :)

When BJP who came on as sub missed his 2 or 3rd easy chance DB was asked his xpert opinion on what foot BJP was?

"Neither" he replied to much mirth in the commentary box.

Coverage on Newstalk was good, definitely more entusiasm for the game although seemed to be rooting for Wicklow.
