Armagh teams (and now teams with a strong Armagh connection) would appear to suffer more than their fair share of heartbreaking defeats. All of the following games come to mind - has any other county suffered as much?

1992 Armagh minors v Meath (All-Ireland final)
2000 Armagh seniors v Kerry (All-Ireland semi-final)
2005 Armagh seniors v Tyrone (All-Ireland semi-final)
2009 Armagh U21s v Down (Ulster-Final)
2010 Armagh minors v Cork (All-Ireland quarter-final)
2011 Armagh minors v Roscommon (All-Ireland quarter-final)

I'm only referring to county teams that were involved in major championship matches they should have won but somehow ended up losing - teams that made it to many All-Ireland finals and then get repeatedly trounced is a completely different kind of hard luck story.

Probably won as many close ones as lost them over the last few decades, although we do seem to have picked up an unfortunate habit of being pipped in tight games recently. Being from Armagh is shit at times. Most of the time actually.

That's right, and all because of the likes of you abandoning us.

Many the heart-breaking defeat suffered by this Dubs fan. 1991 v Meath in the 4th game is still king.

I can't remember a time of us inflicting a really heart-breaking defeat on someone, when we looked bet out the game, but somehow conjured up a win late on. Obviously Tyrone people were upset in 1995, but that was Canavans fault for not putting his toe under the ball.
