Roads Service must read this board and this thread in particular  -

Today the workmen are out filling holes on the road !!!

Maybe we should start a new patry.

I nominate Muppet and Banana Man as 1st and Dputy 1st President of the party.

What is a patry?

If it involves alcohol I'm in, but if it involves work I'm out.

I've never seen as many potholes, yellow paint marks etc.

It's very interesting that the local authorities in the six counties take the trouble at least to mark the potholes. Down here, I'm told the official policy is not to recognise their existence.

Apparently the position is that giving the motorist a break (or a sporting chance of avoiding a break of his axle) by putting up a sign saying "Beware - Potholes" or even painting a yellow mark around the deepest ones, amounts to an official statement by the local authority that the potholes are there. Since the local authority is statutorily charged with keeping the roads safe for traffic, such an official recognition also amounts to an admission of dereliction of that statutory duty and would render the authority liable for damages for broken axles, etc. So they're happy to let some poor motorcyclist kill himself in a pit in the road rather than give him a fair warning.

Back of the stand on the way to new pitch in Knockmore... like the road has carpet bombed or something? C'mon Farr, sort it out! :D

It's sorted out now for the time being anyway. ;)

Without doubt a month ago it was the road from clonoe chapel down - jaysus absolutely brutal. Never driven on worse. They did a bit of work to it there though it still wouldnt be great its better than it was. Roads closed from Monday to friday of this week though they must be resurfacing the whole thing.
