Stapling Pages

Why is stapling pages together so difficult sometimes? Too many pages? Pages too thick? Poor stapler? Poor staples? Poor technique?

my stapler ran out of staples today, replaced them with some more of the staples wifey stole from work last year for me;

then i come on here to see this thread

I find the more expensive heavy duty staplers are easier to break than the cheap run of the mill ones.

I also like changing the thing underneath so instead of the staple closing in, it opens out when stapling. If you catch my drift.

I normally drop the stapler and ask them to pick it up

Staples are the divil's work. Polypockets or the paperclip all the way, much handier if you need to scan or copy.
