it seems that the stoops have been so busy trying to oppose sinn fein at every opportunity that their own 'house' is far from in order :
£108,000,000 :o spent over the last four years buying expensive off the shelf properties from developers :o
a massive shortfall in the provision of housing :o
no stats kept on the level of anti social behaviour or the rehousing of anti social tenants :o
a fall in the level of social housing :o
a fall in the response for repairs on existing housing :o
spiraling waiting times on housing :o

£108,000,000 :o WTF and more people are on waiting lists than before the took on the job.. complete chaos

Do you work for The Sun? Can you tell me how many houses were delivered for £108m? Because £108m might be perfectly reasonable.

Also, i'd imagine that any increase in the waiting list is influenced by:
- demand increasing as people lose their jobs;
- reduction in the Department's budget, impacting on the ability to continue investing in new stock; and
- reduction in receipts from sale of stock, again limiting resources to continue investing in further stock.

A link to your source would be appreciated, assuming you haven't just made it up.

You do the sums. But you're right in that it doesn't make sense. Not for the first time.

Maguire01

Aside from your figures making no sense, can you provide a link to the rest of your comments?

opps! the 108 million was spent on purchasing off the shelf development properties. i gave you the figure for the total units supplied that includes dsds own work. the dsd have not made the figure your after available or the current value of the property purchased but do go on to say that many of the units purchased were not suitable for elderly or disabled and need more money spent on them to upgrade.

So what you're saying is that you still can't conclude whether it's value for money or not. And if that's the case, your rant makes no sense. £108m could still be a perfectly reasonable figure.

And again, can you please link your source?
