Jeez, Dublin were shíte. Griffin and Bonner the only two exceptions in my opinion, both might have warranted a 6.5 out of 10.

Watch the game again and count how times bonner gave Donegal an easy free out of defence.
The man cant tackle, whats worse he is done for sneaky behind the mans back frees.
Once again, Dublin rudderless with no leader (s)

In fairness most of them weren't frees at all, the ref seemed to blow anytime Bonner went near the ball, could completely understand why he was frustrated. The ref just seemed to turn against him!

IMO there is no real pattern to the lgue just yet so I will not be making any rash judgement on Dublin. We lost to a good Donegal team in a venue that is very hard to win at.
The lgue has seen some strange results....ie   Kerry easily beating a poor Cork team only to see that same Cork team hammer Tyrone in the next round, the same Tyrone team that after they beat Dublin were seen as a shoe in for Sam 2007 in many people's eyes.
I think that the physical work being done at training (or the lack of it as the case may be) is causing these inconsistent results.

Dublin need Jayo, Ciarán Whelan and hopefully a fit Mark Vaughan back and come summer time we will be there or there abouts again.

However, it seems to me that some of the Dublin lads are carrying some weight or maybe this "bulking up" is actually slowing them down.

Yes but are all teams not doing that?-that's not an excuse in my view- it was the sheer lack of effort on sunday that pissed off many fans not thta we were beaten. When Caffrey said "winter football is winter football" he summed up their attitude to the league. It's  apity he didn't tell that to the dublin fans who travelled up to ballyshannon yesterday beforehand- then they could have stayed at home.

I wouldn't say he was apathetic about the league but I would assume he is concentrating on being ready for July/August rather than early Feb/March......it certainly looked as if a good few of the Dublin players were suffering from extensive physical training and therefore being a bit drained and heavy on their feet......

Lots of teams aren't doing that well.....Cork, Armagh, Tyrone getting a thrashing etc....

To my mind that looked a near full strength Donegal team who played well against an poor Dublin team on the day....who didn't get much luck with either the ref or the weather either!!!!

Against an almost full strength dublin team you forgot to add- we could win leinster next year and find out absolutely nothing before the all-ireland series- i don't subscribe to your idea that we're good enough to turn it on and off like the top 2. Kerry were on the same alleged 3 year conditioning programme we are on - ask yourself how well they did in the league.?
You could tell after 10 mins we going to lose- donegal lads were diving on the ball -our lads stood back. fine it's only aleague game but the stats don't lie those that do well in the league are there in september. I think Meath is a banana skin waiting to happen. It's about 5 years since our early season from was so bad. I can never understand Dublin's apathy towards the league - it's not as if we've won all-irelands in recent years by showing no interest in it.

Well I would expect Christe, Whelan, Ryan, Cosgrove, Vaughan, Lally all to be back....

I am not talking about the 3 year programme - I am talking about the level of fitness training over the last couple of weeks...

Well if Meath were tearing up trees that would be a problem but I saw Tryone destroyed by Cork who were destroyed by Kerry and Donegal were destroyed by Tyrone....so its not as if there is any pattern yet at all...

We have lost 2 games - to Tyrone (everyone says 1 of the top 2 teams going).....and away to Donegal.....

Apparently the cheeky Dubs went Candyesque with their travel arrangements to this game. They got a coach to Dublin airport where a chartered plane was waiting for them to take them up to Sligo. The bus that dropped them off drove up to Sligo empty, collected them at the airport and dropped them off at Ballyshannon. After the game it dropped them back to Sligo Airport, drove back down to Dublin empty and picked them up there again.

One way to do it I suppose but you'd imagine that after spending all that cash that the Dubs might have turned up for the match  :P

How did the bus get to sligo in in time for the flight, you'd imagine the plane would be slightly quicker?

I presume by the time they check in, load the bags on, go through security, queue for take-off, etc. the bus would be half way to Sligo. Pretty decent road and not much traffic early on a Sunday.
