Sligo will be slightly under strength. I expect Derry to get back on track. Were Derry poor or Laois good?

Derry were poor, but Laois were also good - particularly in midfield. Starved our forwards of any ball, and their forwards were also very good....or at least made to look good by our defence.
I think the Sligo game will be a tough ask of Derry. Sligo did well against Tyrone too remember, and they're at home. I'd think we'll also be with Conway who was very influential against tryone in the Mckenna final.

derry prob did make laois look good up front cause we just weren't tight enough to put pressure on their shots. But they deff did wipe us out at midfield. james conway will be a big loss to us as he is out for about 6-7 weeks.i think we prob will have the bite back this weekend. not saying its goin to be easy

hope michael friel can do a job for derry tomorrow. we are running short of midfielders and i think he can fill a hole for us. He needs game time and a chance, something he wasn't given in the mckenna cup which is a apparently a comp to break in new players.

Any thoughts from Sligo lads on this result. Have not heard or read any reports other than on RTE radio on Sunday. Somewhat surprised that Sligo are struggling in Div 2 as I thought they would build on the progress made in 09 and '10. Is it a case of using the league to sort out problems in advance of the c'ship or are they just finding it a step too much. A bad league camapign could leave them vulnerable come c'ship time - Leitrim will be watching closely.
