I know I'm laying myself open to ridicule/ribbing.

In a surprising development, Cavan CB are reducing prices to games.  Are other counties doing this or are these the prices that are being charged in other counties anyway?

Cavan cut match admission prices for 2011
02 February 2011

Following a period of examination and deliberation Cavan County Board are delighted to announce new pricing structures for games with gates that are under the control of the County Board for the 2011 season.

It is important to point out that gate prices at (A.C.F.L) all county football league games are the responsibility of the clubs of the county and as such are not included in the County Board pricing restructure

The Board have identified a need to assist our patrons in the current troubled economic climate which we find ourselves in and feel that whilst the quality of entertainment on offer is in no way diminishing a reduction in admission prices would in some small way assist our already hard-pressed patrons.

For the coming year Bord Na nÓg Under 13 & 14 Games will set €5 Admission for all games up to and including Finals.

At Youth Board level Under 16 Games will also set €5 Admission for all games up to and including Finals

Minor Championship up to Semi Final Stage will be set at €5. Admission to finals will be decided relative to the Programme on offer.

Junior B, C and D Championships will be set at €5 Admission up to and including Final Stage.

U21 Championship will be set at €8 up to and including Semi Final Stage. Senior, Intermediate and Junior championship Group Stage Games including Relegation Games will be set at €8 with the following concessions - Students and OAP with proper ID €5.

Senior, Intermediate and Junior championship Quarter Finals will be set at €10.

Admission to Senior, Intermediate and Junior championship Semi Finals/Finals to be finalised as programme becomes known.

This new pricing structure reflects reductions as high as 37.5% in certain cases. The Board is confident that this action will help to protect the strong support and patronage it witnesses at its gates through out the football year.

People pay to go to U-13 games?

This has to be a misprint surely.
No wonder it has been so long since Cavan won an Ulster title.
