does anyone remember television pictures of Shane Long in the Tipperary shirt? he got 2-3 or something in the All Ireland minor final apparently. Did Doyle play any gaa, or for that matter Stephen Hunt (born Laois, brought up in Waterford)?

Didn't know Hunt was born in Laois is that fact?

Shane Long was a very good footballer as well as a hurler and he played Minor Football for Tipperary and also won an All Ireland Vocational Schools "B" All Ireland with Tipperary.   He looked like a player who could have gone on to become a very useful dual star at inter county level, if he wished to do so.
