Pass emergency legislation and seize all the assets and property of all the Bankercunts,Developercunts and FFCunts and anyone related to them who caused the disaster by their treachery and cronyism.
Then let them apply to the Courts to get them back, and hopefully the close scrutiny of their activities would lead to lengthy jail terms.
As that will NEVER happen ..... time to call the ECB for  cheap bailout money (3%) instead of the penal 8% we have to pay for pretending that we are still a Sovereign Country in charge of our own affairs.
Use the €3Bn per annum savings on interest to stimulate the Economy by giving tax breaks etc to PRODUCTIVE and import replacing activities.

Ok I'll ignore the first suggestion, we're not in a communist state, please are entitled to due process, I would like to see CAB with greater rights, the likes of the bankers wives, who have control of the assets while the bankers are going bankrupt.

There is zero reason for the ECB to give us a 3% loan, Greece has 5%, but we'll be made an example of to show bigger fish what happens when u default. We'll be bankrupt no matter what happens. I read an interesting article in the times about this today, claiming that the aib & BoI bailout will total €30bn also

What has that to do with Communism?

We already own these assets through NAMA. The only difference is that we are only holding them until the value rises or until we need to artificially rise the value. Not only that but we own the debt owed on them. The due process is by-passed by decisions made by NAMA with legislation.

The debt we owe on all these assets have been socialised. That's not near communism. That's Capitalism at it's best. Capitalising on a waek Government.

would like to see a new level of 1% corporation tax for initial 5 years for new foreign investment
coming into Ireland from 2011 onwards.
That may help out with some level of movement in industry again after its couple of years hibernation.

reduce the amount of TD's by a third , reduce the public service ranks of its double coverage jobs (a few people supposedly doing the same role).

take a good and smarter look at the public sector and rather than cutting jobs and shipping in cheaper recently graduated or foreign workers (in the case of an entire nursing department in Tallaght hospital) and move the current nurses sideways - rather than making redundencies - you are just adding to the fecking bill ! cut out stupid stuff like that.
yes it cuts the wage bill for a department, but the Public sectors bill only increases as the moved nurses are thrown in elsewhere!

To seize the property of bankers and politicians is not even legal. A politician has done their job, good or bad, and ur suggesting seizing their assets?
Fair enough corrupt politicians, who have taken money for rezoning, planning etc.
Same for bankers, fair enough if they owe money to the bank but you can't just say here we made a massive f**k up leaving u unsupervised to run a bank, we're now taking it assets, that's just not on.
I'm all for leaving fingers and Seanie on the dole but that's not all bankers, sack them for incompetence, yes, seize assets, no

I assumed these are the ones he was talking about. It would be very difficult to get politicians to pass legislation to seize their property.

So to date that would be Haughey, RIP, lawlor, RIP, Burke and possibly Bertie & Lowry, following some tribunals?
Hardly going to be keeping up afloat

Why are you looking for reasons to not do this? Surely it would be better to look ways to do it?

Mayo4Sam

I'm not looking for reasons not to do it but u have to be realistic & look at terms of reference for something like this, it's not good enough to say all banker & politician c***ts that got us into this. It's like saying we'll put all bad people in jail
