My summer wasn't bad at all.

Positives:
1. Still employed
2. Enjoyed watching Wee Puck having fun in the pool and on the beach
3. Tyrone getting knocked out at the quarter final saved me a further 40$ in PPV fees
4. Golf swing is coming back to its former glory
5. Girlfriend moved in

Negatives:
1. Employment hampered the lifestyle of the previous summer
2. Still didn't get home

It's Christmas I am worried about - I dread Christmas, havn't had a good one in years.

EDIT: Plus, it is still 30 degrees outside, and will be for another 2 months.

Well for myself got to see plenty of good old rock n roll music/Festivals  Download in Donington the highlight, scaled Croagh Patrick for the 1st time (for a bet i might add) getting to see the rossies win the connacht title for the 1st time for in 9 years was a special day & night  :)

Negatives the weather as ever... was in Sweden/Denmark in June so for me the Irish summer was almost a washout & the World Cup was a major disappointment

The biggest little city in the World Jim - Reno, Nevada.

Also known as the city where good bands come to die.

For some reason i always thought you were closer to Vegas? must be a good 8 hour drive? Renos a good spot with California close by

Hardy

Positives
-The five goals against Dublin will shorten a good few of the coming winter nights.
-The World Cup is not even the memory of a damp squib going off in a vacuum far away while you were asleep.
-A great ould row here over the Leinster Final.
-Grand weather.
-Bud Wiser back in top form.
-Some good returns on the GAA betting.
-I was made an honorary Larry.
-A good crop of tomatoes.
-Summer holidays still to come.

Negatives
-I fell out with a good poster, Mylestheslasher, over the Leinster Final. Only temporarily, I'm sure and I'd like to invite him for a cyber pint.
-Only three apples on one tree and none on the other.

There isnt really anywhere closer - except nowheresville, Nevada. There are about 5 of those, but you don't want to live there.

Lived in Vegas for 6 months, it was enough. It is an 8 hour hellaciously boring and long drive through some of the most delapidated ghost mining towns ever.

Reno is a great spot, plenty to see and do, even if I find the winters a bit cold for my liking.
