With the re-opening of the Dunboyne rail link today, the upgrade of the N3 junction at Blanch/the M50 and the new M3 motorway all coming along this year will 2010 be known as the year that Meath is now really Dublin 29???? ;) ;) ;) ;)

No. Think of it as providing for Dublin what the Channel Tunnel gives England - an access corridor for an economically deprived and culturally impoverished people to sample a civilised ambience, fresh air, good food and a respite from street crime, gangland warfare and lager culture.  ;D

It would make more cultural sense for a tunnel from Dublin to Pembrokshire, the likes of Kevin Myers and other Southsiders could regularly visit their cousins, while a short drive across South Wales and across the Severn Bridge would allow Northsiders to visit their ancestoral home of Bristol and see can they get some backpayment on the child support owed to their Dublinborn kinsfolk from their Redcoat daddios, sure Portsmouths only a spin down the road for those of sailor stock.
Time to take a more chill-pill approach to life.

But they have to get through Meath first...  ;D
