Why do the antrim board always seem to register Championship fixtures (at junior level anyway) for the same weekend of the All-Ireland Fleadh? Surely for an organisation with such close links to the Irish language and Irish culture this would be looked at and re-arranged for a different weekend  >:(

GAA president Elect Liam O Neill is your man to talk to there - he is big into the Irish language and culture so would be sympathetic to your pliight. He gave a good long piece on his views on the Irish language and the GAA etc in his press briefing on Friday night

How would I do that  :-X

Mind you, I suppose that it wouldnt rectify the situation for this years fleadh.

Cheers for the reply by the way :)

If you cant get Liam O Neill president elect of the GAA try maybe the junior fixtures secretary of the Antrim co board.     :)

That would probably be a good shout  ;D

Mind you, no sign of such a person on the Antrim sight, maybe just get in touch with a few others along with the Cultural Officer and see what they have to say.

It wont rectify this years problem but send me a private message there and I will put you in touch directly with Liam.

Sure what about trying the antrim web-site. The moderator is awful helpful ::)

Should be contact details on antrim web-site of a fixtures secretary at least.

Had a look on the antrim site although cant see anything for a person that deals specifically with fixtures. Might just send an e-mail and CC about 6 people in it  ;D
