Jaysus Neeson looks fierce like George Peppard did in the series... unreal like

What would you possibly be expecting with Liam Neeson cast as Hannibal?!

Or a man who has never acted before cast as the most important character.

Why would have expected it to be anything other than shite, indeed especially after the trailers.

The series was classic mainly for the characters, the "tough" talking and hammy fight scenes. In the movie they have taken the characters and tried to mimic them whilst putting them in lifeless CGI action.

Just to go on a tangent directors obsession these days with CGI, and shoving so much digital crap on screen is ruining movies. It makes the movies too far fetched and impossible for the audience to relate to. Star Wars recent trilogies were one example, transformers another. It may give nerds a hard on but as an art form its soulless crap and its impossible to become engrossed in.

Much like comparing to say Mark Knophler to Michael Angelo Batio on guitar, yes Michael, you can hit a million notes a second but its shit to listen to.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Would have liked to see Michael Duncan Clarke as BA
hes an animal and hes great actor aswell.
Cant wait for this!!!

Overuse of CGI is really off-putting, as thejuice has said the Transformers movie was CGI overkill at its best.  I actually enjoyed the first half of that movie but all I remember about it now is the fight scenes between the robots at the end that went on and on and on, and as a viewer I found them very boring as for one you knew the goody would win anyway. Film makers seem to think that nowadays alot of CGI can make up for a films weaknesses elsewhere, but in most cases it doesn't.

Speaking of Transformers, South Park brilliantly took the hand out of Michael Bay about this a few years ago.

General-"Mr. Bay, do you have any ideas about how to solve this problem?"

Michael Bay-"Ok, so there's this sky scraper, and then all of the sudden METEORS BLAST THROUGH IT AND IT'S LIKE 'BOOOOOOOOM!' and then theres this semi truck full of gasoline and a dump truck hits it and it's like 'PSSSSSSSHHHEEEEEWW!!'"

General-"Mr. Bay, those are not ideas. Those are special effects."

Michael Bay-"Uuum... I don't understand the difference."

General- "We know you don't Mr. Bay, we know you don't."
