Presumably that would have also been the logical venue if Kildare/Monaghan was also a stand alone game so making the two of them a double header makes sense.
But Louth have refused to enter Meath let alone play a game there.

Limerick may have won the coin toss but the word filtering through is that Frank Murphy is planning an appeal over the venue for next weekends game.
Apparently the coin used in the toss was a 1 euro coin, where Rule 247.9.7 sub section 23 (a) clearly states that a 2 euro coin must be used when the draw is made on Monday the 19th of any month.
