Great games, great memories. The Leinster meant so much more back then without the back door. A Kildare Meath match would barely draw 40,000 nowadays. The football was better as well IMO. Hard and tough with nobody lying down or whinging (ahem..... Martin Lynch  ;)). The story about Tommy Dowd telling the ref that he had the wrong man when he was about to send Glenn off was gas. I doubt Nuxer would've been best pleased if he'd have sent to the line for something he didn't do!
