Great games, great memories. The Leinster meant so much more back then without the back door. A Kildare Meath match would barely draw 40,000 nowadays. The football was better as well IMO. Hard and tough with nobody lying down or whinging (ahem..... Martin Lynch  ). The story about Tommy Dowd telling the ref that he had the wrong man when he was about to send Glenn off was gas. I doubt Nuxer would've been best pleased if he'd have sent to the line for something he didn't do!
