Europa Final held in Dublin next year, Liverpool v Celtic final would draw a bit of interest?

That final would be played in Lourdes...

QuoteInteresting tense final even if the quality was lacking.

Agreed, though Aguero was able to turn on the quality on occasions.

Interesting tense final even if the quality was lacking. Fulham & Hodgson deserve a bollicking, they were set up overly cautious and gave a poor performance. Duff was deployed much of the time in the middle and crowded out, he was only effective out wide.
Atletico were worthy winners.

Can't agree at all, I thought Fulham were far the better team from half time on and deserved to win

Aguero and Forlan had that wee bit more quality in them than anything Fulham had.

In saying that it was a jammy deflection.

Fulham never really looked like scoring. Nevland was a bit trigger happy.

Duff and Zamora only half fit. Real shame.

I'd agree with Main Street. I thought they lacked balls for most of the match.

Why did they get away from playing the type of football that got them there? still well done, they ran themselves to a standstill but I think Hodgson got it wrong tactically for once in this tournament.
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

From the Bunker

Great competition for mid-table (Italian, German, Spanish & English) teams as well as other strong league teams in Europe.

Still not sure if Italian, German, Spanish & English finishing Champions league teams should be allowed into the competition if they finish 3rd in group stages.

interesting to see that Athletico Madrids form in Europe this year is 5 wins, 8 draws and 4 loses.

Fulhams record is 11 wins, 4 draws and 4 loses.

With all the games that Europa Cup Qualifiers have to play, it's a testiment to the will of the Fulham players and squad to keep going in this competition since last July.

schwarzer hardly had a save to make in the second half, yeah Madrid had the litle bit of extra class but I thought Fulham were very unlucky to lose, I certainly wouldn't say Madrid deserved to win, really penos would have nearly been the right ending
Madrid would probably have won on penos anyway, Fulham looked dead on their feet by the end
