Phil Brown plced on gardening leave.  Is this wise with 9 games to go and still in the relegation zone.

He should learn not to mess with the Womens Institute!

He strikes me as the sort of lad who'll be grand in his own skin no matter what it's called.

Why didn't they just sack him ?
They'd obviously have to give him a pile of dough. They'll dig around and see if they can go for constructuve dismissal whilst he's tending to the garden. Surely they'll eventually have to sack him even if they stay up.

I thought you could only be sent on gardening leave if you resign!

I thought that was a euphemism for 'suspended with pay' myself.

Yes it basically means you still get paid but you don't have to come to work.  A lot of firms will put people on 'Gardening leave' when they make them redundant so that they don't have to work there notice.

slow corner back

Around the time yer man Pearson became chairman of Hull everyone reckoned Brown was a dead man walking as the pair had had spme sort of fallout in the past ( cant remember the details ). Seems like a strange time to change manager with nine games to go though. Good luck to whoever takes over because IMO opinion Hull are not overly blessed with talented players.

Heard Alan Curbishley mentioned but who would want it?

Who wouldn't want it?  I'm sure the person who gets the job will be on 1/2 million or 1 million bonus if they can keep them up.  Not bad for a couple of months work.

They have a fairly decent run in as well.
