I have some 8mm camcorders tapes - the camcorder doesn't work any more - how do I go about converting them onto DVD ??

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Borrow a camcorder and use DV cable.  There is no other way to do it.

Correct.  Also one with some kind of interface (normally DV) that can talk to your DVD recorder.

You can buy a cassette adaptor to do this . You fit the 8mm one in to a full size tape adaptor.
It then will play in your normal V.C.R. If it is the EC-45 type I have 2 of them and you can have one.
I also have a friend who could copy them at a charge.
