People don't know the difference between climate and weather.

It's not called weather change.

Climate is weather changes measured over a period of time - i.e. 30 years - thus if 2009 is colder than 1981, discuss.

And for the last ten years - when we have had mild winters - everyone has been saying "oh that's Global Warming that is' - when it's the Gulf Stream doing its job - so now we get a cold one and that's just a wee blip in the wind across the Atlantic.
In theory, all that mild weather could have been heralding a generation of 'ball-freezing' climate over the next 30 years? The fact is that in the 1850s and 1860s, Ireland had a mini ice-age. It's only ARROGANCE to assume that so-called Global Warming is a reality!
maybe you'd want to check out the little ice age, before you start confining it to a decade in the mid 1800's.

You demonstrate only deeper ignorance with each post. The Gulf Stream is steadily being slowed down, and by greater degrees of late, and like most things with the natural world when in does shut off it could shut off all of a sudden, and then we'll suffer the same winter temperatures as places such as Moscow. Unlike yourself I'd say, I understand how it works because I've bothered to find out.

And unlike yourself, I've had a look at the science, not some wives' tales' about past 'mini ice-ages'. And like most sceptics, you're just particularly stupid where the climate's concerned. And funny how you lot claimed that climate variations were all as a result of solar activity, until the solar activity bore no relation to climate shifts as it did not from the 80s on, which left you kind of stuck once again.

Okay, Okay! Look, I bow to your superior knowledge in a 'I am not worthy' scenario! I will admit that I have not studied GCSE Geography or read the Ireland's Own - which you obviously have - so I, therefore, prostrate myself at the world's greatest authority on Global Warming. Now why don't you go and have a look up the ro-aaaadd and tell me how cold it is!!!
