How do you - download from You Tube

Is it possible/easy to download a video that is on You Tube.  Common sense is that it is the opposite of Uploading video to You Tube but as that is alien to me, how can you do it and would you save it on DVD writeable discs.

The way I go about is download with Real Player... and then use another program, called ConvertXtoDVD, to convert it to a DVD format on a DVD disc

It's idiot proof, you take the URL from the youtube page, put it on it and it downloads it. Then you can change it to whatever format you want.
