I'm posting it, not taking it through the airport.  Surely this should be ok

I think they scan everything ie packages etc through their customs unit - through xrays or whatever it is they use they can see inside everything they receive

decent fella from Cookstown, Tyrone and a big GAA man to boot, runs the Cormac McAnallen Club in Sydney.  I'd say he would accommodate you if you needed anything specially imported if he doesn't already stock it.

Never beat the deeler

Some foods are banned - dairy, eggs, uncanned meat, fresh and frozen fruit & veg, anything with grain/seeds on it.  :-\

One thing you should send is Cadburys chocolate. Now I wouldnt have much of a sweet tooth, but the Cadburys you get here is nothing like the stuff you get at home. I think they have to put something in it to stop it melting.

All the Irish girls I know here go mad for the chocolate from home!!

Got  a similar thing when i was in Australia from home for Christmas.  Was much appreciated and it got through no bother.
Hard boiled sweets was one thing i got and they were much appreciated.
Chocolate is good.  McCoy's crisps was what I preferred at the time.
Heinz baked beans.  The Australian ones are not the best.
Also got wheaten bread but it was out of date by the time it arrived.
Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered
