Read an interview with the wife yesterday. terribly sad. Never got over the death of his 2 year old.
He actually lay down on the track and waited for the train - only a slight difference from throwing yourself in front i know. You'd have to be in a very dark place given all that he had going for him.

It is a very sad story but it's a story that many here in Ireland can now empathise with. Many people here suffer depression and many men suffer depression. The inability to communicate ones feelings or even to talk about them can be a problem for many men. I always feel sorry when I read stories like this or the Sunday World story and I have no doubt that many on this board have been in a very dark lonely place. Lets hope that those who may be depressed can find the opportunity and courage to share the hurt. Rest in Peace, Robert.
