I was in Isreal last year, tel aviv for their shabat as they called it. telaviv is supposed to be a secular city but it remnded me of Good Friday yerars ago.the the lifts in the hotel were out of bounds to locals and breakfast was stuff that had been prepared the day before.
So I can imagine the Orthodox Jews who see Tel aviv as a hotbed of sin getting upset by people working on the sabbath . some times you have to stand up for what you believe even if that involves upsetting a large multi-national
