No Downeys either?   :o

Seamus was the better of the two Downeys but the best hurler out of Derry in my lifetime is Ollie Collins and he would get on my 15 for the 25 years certainly. Henry was a limited enough hurler who made up for the shortfall with guts and niggly craft (not a compliment) ditto Emmet McKeever. Always rated the Biggs brothers very highly but that was against poor Down and Antrim teams, would liked to have seen them pitted against better teams. Big Geoffrey have a fantastic eye for the ball and great wrists but his biggest downfall was that he allowed himself to lose concentration when things got a bit tight and when he was needed most.

Noel Keith is the best keeper I've ever seen, had it all when most needed, great shot stopper, brave in the air, coming out to take the ball and intelligent puck outs. Haven't seen another keeper in Ulster as good since and I'm including big Neil 'hamstrings hangin out oh him' Patterson.
