Sending this out to the fountain of all knowledge.

Who sang this song?  Was it the same band who sang Echo Beach?

Some of the lyrics are "you can give that to the birds and bees".

It's all here:

P.S. "Echo Beach" was by "Martha and the Muffins" - their only major hit (though what a hit!). It doesn't look like they recorded "Money":

"We don't need guns"

The Beatles did a version of this on one of their early albums, Beatles for Sale i think. They didn't write it though.  Another obscure band in the late seventies/early eighties did a very odd version. If you check out Beatles for sale, it should show the original writers.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Michael Jackson probably owned the rights to this one also, send an email to Janet or LaToya and they might know.

Thanks everyone.  The beatles had a version but the one I remembered was by the Flying Lizards as the YouTube from Treasurer shows.

When I saw the Title of the YouTube I thought ofThe Flying Pickets and they were a male group.

Original singer was Barrett Strong of Motown fame and mentioned in the Billy Bragg song Levi Stubb tears I think.

I remember it well, back in the days when my week wasn't complete with a copy of "Disco 45" or "Words" so that I could learn off all the latest songs - the fact that I never had a note in my head was no deterrent.  :)
