Feel a bit sorry for Charles Itandje having seen the footage, he didn't exactly do much, now his reputation has been irretrievably damaged and his future at L'pool is over I would think

Where did you see it? Any chance of a link?

when i posted lyrics from the song i want it to be noted i am a liverpool fan through and through and my post was to highlight the flippant disregard of human loss and tragedy

I realise that Iceman. The problem is that someone will always retaliate with 'what about Munich'. Then Heysel will be mentioned. Then a row will start, and then it will all get stupid.

I don't know if you were around when this blew up before, it wasn't pretty. Rememberence threads are fine, but any posts that may open the door for crass comments on either side are deleted, regardless of intent.

Cheers

My point is merely that this is something which is sadly endemic throughout soccer fans and no doubt many of those who are the most vociferious in demanding respect for "their" tragedies are perefectly willing to mock the tragedies of others.

Meh, I don't know about that.

Luckily for United and Liverpool it is very much a minority. I would guess it would be people not clued in at all, and I would hazard a guess that very few of those who were slagging Munich were at Anfield last Wednesday and the majority of those who slag Hillsborough were not at United's memorial for the 50th anniversary last year.

I hope i'm right, could be wrong.
