Wipe out half of Roscommon

West Athlone was given to Westmeath in 1898

Only partially, it's natural hinterland of Monksland was cut off.  Only yesterday it was confirmed as part of Roscommon.

So even as we type some Lakeland folk continue to struggle under the jackboot of Rossie tyranny.

Thanks, Billy. Never got to check back. Took the Frenchpark detour anyway and it was no problem, compared to dealing with kamikaze Connacht drivers hurtling lightless through the fog!
