I think personally that Galvin got off very lightly for his cruelty to animals when he attacked that wasp that was hovering menacingly over Paddy Russell.

Hes lucky he didnt have PETA on his tail.

Personally I agree with Tyrone Dreamer, that some of the comments have been totally inappropriate, as others have said criticism is one thing but personal abuse should not be acceptable. Also Ardmhachaabu I am a Tyrone man I think is wrong that these bitter personal attacks are spewed out against players from any county. These people are amateurs and most of the time they provide us with great pleasure and pride.
Sandino, thanks for the courteous reply.  It's not because he's a Tyronie that I object to his behaviour or him appealing the ban, not at all.  It's because of his behaviour and nothing more.  Some have alluded to the Armagh v Laois goings on, I didn't get a chance to get to the match so didn't see anything for myself.  I have since learned that a certain Armagh player was extremely out of order and I tell you what too, I wish the incident had been in front of the cameras too coz then he would be facing severe disciplinary measures and rightly so.  I would say the same no matter who it is or who they play for.  Incidents like the one I mentioned and monobrow's many incidents (in that particular match!) boil my blood as a Gael and they have no place in our games!

Seriously, if you were out in the pub talking about the same man he would get called a lot worse (unless it's a pub in Tyrone)

Well said.

Had to laugh at the lad informing us of the latest version of the telephone numbers rumour hot from the pubs of Tralee.

Can't believe 'Heffo' had the balls to come back and defend his ridiculous first version of the same rumour as well. Didn't we make an eejit out of him the last time as the player with the amazing phone directory was wearing gloves? As indeed he was vs. Kerry, special gloves for enhanced ball-handling I believe they were.

I predict Joyce to be put off his game on March 7th by a Tyrone player revealing the true JFK assassin on his hand, complete with special see-through gloves of course. It's going to be awful, Joyce is a massive fan of JFK.

I have been a reader of this board for a great number of years. I have seen many members come and go. Some great posters have been lost. It has struck me recently that when someone does something wrong during a game the abuse hurled at these people is enormous. In the heat of battle I can understand this; however this abuse on the board has become a disgrace. Most people do not know the people being abused. Can we really comment on someone we have never met someone whom we only know through what we have seen on our TV screens?  I know some of the people who have be named on this board over the last 12 months, many did wrong on the field of play but they are people who I know to be decent people who do a lot for their communities. Are the amateur people who bring us joy and pleasure through our games fair game on a discussion board if they do wrong in the field of play? I am not on about constructive discussion. I mean anonymous abuse.

Although I agree 100%, you'll find that those threads are populated with posters who are more interested in gossip than football (the 'bundle a oul women') and after a while you'll find the posters you'd normally take the bother to read don't go near it.

Good move from the Mods.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Spot on O'Neill. A good call by the mods a thread on a football match goes to 65 pages with little chat about football towards the end. Also Ard. I agree with the remark about what is said in a bar, however there were 17,000 odds vews of the afore mentioned thread. I meant this to be about the general issue of abusing our GAA stars. Mods feel free to lock this one as well. No problems.
