I am a big fan of Cuchulainn and have read up a lot on the subject and ancient Irish legend.  I always loved the old mural of the death scene of Cuchulainn that was in Drumarg in Armagh but sadly it has been painted over. does anyone have a good photo or image of this mural or a good image of the death scene?
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place - just wondered if anyone could help out - hoping to get this as a tattoo

Found this on a quick search. I like it, but it may be nothing like the one you remember.

Was the death scene based on the statue in the GPO
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Have the death scene statue from the GPO (replica) at home. The Mural had a lot of detail and the colours were amazing - looking for something similar but can't come up with it at all.  Definitely want the same look as the statue and the mural for those that have seen it

The site where he fell is marked on the river. They have great memories to be able to mark it so well!  :D

Puckoon

Didnt Cuchulain kill ferdia? Is that what the statue there is of ML?

Maybe I am mixed up! It has been a long time since I heard the story. And would make sense given Ardee in Irish is Baile Átha Fhirdhia.

Puckoon

Well Im just going off of Horslips "The Tain". :D

I remember me da explaining to me how the loyalists took him for their own. There's a strange irony there.
