Maybe some of you can settle a bet for me. Who is the all-time top scorer in the All-Ireland Football Championship? Eddie Keher is tops in hurling but what about the footie.

Conleth

ONeill

Good question. I take it that includes qualifiers? Has be to a moden buck, even taking into account the Kerry years. The likes of McConville, Peter, Paddy Bradley, Joyce etc wouldn't be too far away. Some of those boys play more championship games in one season than the Kerry boys did in 3 years in the late 70s!

I think McConville and Peter lead the Ulster charts.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

How come county name is beside Ronan Carolan? Peter Donohoe & Charlie Gallagher are also Cavan. Charlie was a great player that died tragically in a boating accident. Both played exclusively in the days previous to back doors.

Maguire01

McDonnell could challenge for the top of that list too.

Ball Hopper

Where would Kerry's Mike Sheehy and Maurice Fitzgerald rank against those numbers, I wonder?   What with lots fewer games each year in Munster and all that, they would hardly come close, would they?

Henry will be taking over from Eddie fairly soon so. Incredible scoring, god knows what he'll be on by the time he retires.

I think the Stevie from Killeavy equalled the goal scoring record in Ulster and has 17 goals to his name!!!!!

Would beinteresting to see the number of games played for each of the Ulster Bhoys alright, though as O Neill says it'd have to be a young buck who's on the scene post-back-door!
