Well any you buy now will. DVD's are 10 a penny and unless your into home cinema. I'd buy on in your local tesco's

I don't believe you. Every single DVD you rent from extra vision is dual layer. Are you burning the DVD yourself? Are you sure you are buring the disc correctly?

Honestly miles, mine doesn't play them.  Bought it 2 or possibly 3 years ago, no longer than that though as the shop I got it in has only been open that long

I know the DVD works as I have tried it in other people's recorders and it played fine...

Reason I asked is that I have been doing some research into the players on the market at the moment and find when i look at the specs of them that a lot of them don't have the capability I need.
