Laptop to Amp

Guys, can anyone advise me if its possible to get a cable from laptop to an amp?? if so, could you advise exactly what lead i require, and where would be the best spot to buy 1!!

Depends on the inputs on the amp. You should be okay with the normal audio laptop lead - small jack to small jack and get a converter (to big jack) for the end that goes into the amp. Alternatively, small jack to twin phono should do the job as well - probably the cleaner option.

If you are still not sure walk into any Maplin store and they have a technical whizz kid on the repairs counter  and he will specify and provide you with the exact leads, or at least that's what he is there for.  If you go to Keane Electronics website  and ask them to send you out their FREE catalogue it includes not alone the parts you require but also provides circuits for everythiung from sound systemn setup to home automation x10 circuits and it is failrly interesting. This catalogue is a great yoke to have on your desk anyway as it has the answers to a lot of little problems that crop up in laymans language.

Don't worry about the "UK and North of Ireland only"  bit, when you give your address in the REPUBLIC  just put "Electronics" after your name, as in Laoislad Electronics and they will send you one like a light.
