Fair f**ks nothing. Made an idiot of himself. Dealing with the press is part of the territory. Disgraceful.

I don't mind a bit of cursing but he just mad a complete prat of himself.

Well I thought it was Joe setting out his stall - if they are going to write crap about him, he's not going to play the game, simple as that. He was trying to put them in their place. Fergie did, and does, it on a regular basis, but it's not reported widely as the press are p!ssing themselves in case Man U refuse to give them stories to put in their rags. The language may have been a bit ripe, but I think that is genuine Joe Kinnear, that's how he is, and he doesn't dress it up for anyone. The pity about the whole situation is that no matter what happens, just by taking that job, his reputation has and will suffer, and no matter how well the Barcodes do under him he will be getting the door as soon as a buyer is found - I think he is wasting his time and effort.

Not a bad start for Joe.
2-0 down and end up with a 2-2 draw..
What will the journo's write about that

Well then, he tried to get on and was told to f**k away off.

Yeah I think the 4th Official asked a Cop to escort him away from the entrance of the players tunnel

Fair enough, dealing with the press is part of the job. but once the press behave as terribly and unprofessionally as this lot did then they give up their right to be treated as competent or communicated with at all in my opinion.

He took wild abuse and he give it back. Never heard anything like it before! hopefully there fightback today was a sign of the spirt he has instilled in them

Funniest thing I read in a long time that transcript. "Which one is Simpson - Me - You're a ****" Priceless. I think he was just setting out his stall. He isn't going to take shite from anyone. He is also showing his players the balls he has (in taking on the poisonous press) and maybe that balls inspired his team to show a bit of fight in coming back from 2-0 down. I'd rather have Joe Kinnear type managers in my sport than Sven Goran Erickson and the click brigade that suck up to the slimy media types.

While the language was prob a bit much, the hypocricy of the press and what they write would make any decent man go mad with anger at them.
So I'll back Joe on this one.

I recall the first couple of seasons when Martin O'Neill took his Friday press conference , he spent most of the session putting down the gutter press who were asking him rubbish questions or trying to trick him inot saying something he didnt mean or want to say.
MON being the intellectual he is would tie them up in knots and make a show of them until it was only one or two weekly idiot offenders that continued to do this and provided great entertainment for the others that learned they couldnt win.

The highlights of each weekly session were posted on a Celtic fans website that people used to look forward to reading each Friday.
Showed up the press for what they were (well a lot of them) - ignorant, uneducated scumbags who looked to try and write the sleeze story rather than the sports piece most fans wanted to read about.
Reading Joe Kinnears incident reminds me of this and shows the press havent changed.
