Yes theres O Brien, Kelly, Barry, Tony Kearney, Luke Dempsey, Damien Sheridan, Jody Devine, Mick O'Dowd and Paddy Carr and Joe Kernan. There could be others but the Board are remining 'tight lipped', why? anyway Kernan and Keraney have ruled themselves out so it depends on the others above. The only ones who have actually said they are interested are Barry and Kelly. no one jumps out really, I reckon Dudley may get it....

I think I'd prefer Dudley to any of that list. In fact, on mature reflection, I wish Colm hadn't packed it in, even if his position was difficult after such a hammering by Limerick. There were a lot of positives about his regime and if he'd been  given the chance and maybe taken a good tactician on board, he could have got there. I'm leaning towards the view that our downfall was something in the physical stakes. I don't think we were fit or strong enough and I feel Colm and his crew badly underestimated the physical fitness and raw power requirements of Championship football in this millennium. There was an admirable emphasis on skill, football, attacking, etc. but we were horsed out of it physically. Who'd ever have thought that would be said of a Meath team?
