Lads are there any radio programmes on during the week with good folk music.  There seems to be a lot of traditional instrumental stuff on Radio Uladh and RTE, but I can never find any shows with good classic and modern folk.

On BBC R2, the Mike Harding show is on during the week, but it is heavily into English Folk Music.  Is there an Irish equivalent?

I know Tommy Sands has a show on Saturday Nights, but I never get to listen to radio at the weekend.

I think Colum Sands is your best bet.  Use the "Listen Again" feature if you can't listen on weekends.  But thats no good if you haven't got access to a computer....

Ralph McClean plays a fair bit of Folk Music on his shows.  And you get some decent folk on Blas as well, although as you say, it's mostly diddly dee.

If, however, you like a bit of the blues, and this is local, give this a wee listen - a mate of mine's facebook demo
