It's the Cusack stand dressing rooms that are the curse, not Saturdays.
2001 - lost to Galway
2002 - drew with Sligo
2004 - lost to Fermanagh
2006 - lost to Kerry

Wins - 0
Draw - 1
Losses - 3

Horrendous record!!! We aren't a good warm up act at all.
Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry and the world will turn.

Rufus, how did I forget 2003 when we engineered one of our famous come backs from a 4 point half time deficit, helped by Cluxton getting sent off in the second half ???

I dont fancy Armagh on a saturday at all.

In fairness, you don't fancy them any day they play so what's new?

Out of the bowl on Sunday I wanted Wexford or Kildare, so happy with the draw. I think Armagh will prove to be too strong for Wexford, however we have played 3 games in croker already this year, which would be to their advantage. Andy Mallons injury is a huge loss to armagh. If we are complacent we could be in trouble.

I'd expect Dublin to beat Tyrone, which could spark off a replay if the 2002 semi final, which was probably the best experience i ever had in croker for atmosphere and pure enjoyment.

Kerry looked quite impressive yesterday... will be hard to beat, though Galway could do a meath on them .... hopefully

Add 2000 against Kerry in semi final as Hogan Stand hadn't been finished???????

Actually I have fond memories of 2001, even though we lost to Galway by a point. It was prior to the match that I noticed the competition in the GAA Museum that ultimately led to me winging it to LA, courtesy of Aer Lingus. Also I recall I had won a trip to see Robbie Williams (with accommodation the night before) at Lansdowne, which surprisingly was a reasonable concert.

Then we met the legend that is Paul Mc Grath in the Gresham before the match. The Armagh team bus was delayed due to the stupid Gardai escort getting lost or something, and as a result the team walked in kitted out, among the fans, making their way into the Cusack.

Finally I recall Brian Mc Alinden jumping into the Cusack at the start of the second half ready to have a go at an Armagh fan that was abusing him and had to be restrained by Jimmy Smyth

I think Wexfords games so far in Croke Park will deffinately benefit them, but the wide open spaces in front of target should let us see Clarkie and Stevie full potential, they thrive in space so I think that will be the pivitol area.

I don't expect a repeat of the 2005 League final with Stevie kicking points from the toilets and I don't expect Wexford to be anywhere near as niave as they were then.

We've had bannana skins thrown at us all championship long and my feeling is this is the most dangerous by far. I would have much preferred Kerry or Tyrone to be honest purely for the mental attitude it would immediatley have installed. I mean no disrespect to Wexford but I think the entire County would have had their stomach tighten at Kerry or Tyrone rather than relaxing when Wexford where pulled out of the hat!

Is the difference in size between Croke Park and Clones not actually very small?
As I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead

I think the stat is that Clones pitch might even be wider but slightly shorter, but I know there is very little in it. Which makes this crack of wide open spaces of croker a non issue
