Michael Shields has jacked it in at Carlton and is coming home. I'd imagine he'll be available for selection for the remainder of the championship. Gave homesickness as his reason for leaving.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Tatler Jack

Huge boost for Cork - probably the best of the 2007 U21 team.

The 2 other Cork boys might be following him home sooner rather than later if things don't pick up for them.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

The old green fields that are far away are actually greener in Ireland.

Hey lads, let there be no schadenfraude now. So this lad took a chance, and it didn't work out for him. Hopefully he'll come home and play for Cork again, but no need to be sneering about faraway fields being greener.

Jinxy

I don't think anyone is sneering at him. He gave it a try, it didn't work out and I think it'll be great to see him back in a red jersey.

I've chartered a plane to Brisbane - leaving Wednesday morning - need three volunteers to help me nab him and bring him back
