dont understand why the gov dont force rte to broadcast free to air into all parts of the north...

Indeed they should give RTE some of the NI licence money, since the BBC is not meeting the needs of the community in vast parts of the 6 counties. 
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

The best defence i could make for the BBC on this one is a severe lack of competence/judgement in their budget allocation. I would hate to think that they've made this call for other, non-sporting reasons. And we're not allowed to make unfounded allegations on this site  :-X

I see what the problem is, they sent Austy to Beijing and they don't want to put Jerome back in the Chair. Very Petty from the BBC
