Have to get a cluster replaced on a 03 Ford Focus by my garage. What should that cost roughly because I've been quoted a price that seems very expensive to me but then again I don't know anything about cars so it could be cheap for all I know?

Not sure - 2 or 300 I'd say.

If you get an instrument cluster replaced do they have to set your odometer to the mileage it is at now - surely it can start at 0? Curious...

GalwayBayBoy

Well they are looking for €540 off me.

Are you going to a main Ford dealer garage to get it fixed?
In my experience you pay way more when you get work done at a main dealers,Is there any small garage around that you know of? You usually get work done much cheaper and a higher standard of work too,as a main dealer will always get work and won't worry about you as there will always be someone else to rip off, whereas a fella with his own garage depends on the likes of you and will take more care and pride in the work he does as he can't afford to get a bad name..
For example to get my van serviced in a main Reanult garage is €560 i can get it done with a local mechanic with his own workshop for €320 and i have never had any problems with him and i also bring my car to him too
Just my opinion but i always go to a local garage to get car or van serviced and maintained.
