Letter in to-day's Irish News drawing attention to this pin and encouraging all gaels to wear with pride. Just rang the Ulster Council Offices and they are only a quid each (I pushed the boat out and ordered 5 ;D) and they don't charge for post and packing!

Great idea, so get the plastic out now and ring the Ulster Council on 028 3752 1900 (6 Counties), or 0044283752 1900 (26 Counties)

PS I'm not on commission ;D

armaghniac

better to ring 048 37521900 from the Freestate, less work for the finger and less likelihood of being charged for call to England.

Received pins in post yesterday, a mere day after I'd ordered, postage FOC. Have to say they're cracking little pins, imaginatively designed in Ulster Colours with the red hand in a couple of places. A must for all Ulster gaels and any other gaels for that matter, and at a quid each they're a steal. Even my ma said she would wear one to the special club mass tomorrow night.Well done to the Ulster Council

Why a pin.  I would absolutely hate to be confused with a Pioneer?

Because I already have the special Armagh 125 year issue jersey with the number 3 on it. ;D

PS Anyone remember the 1984 cenentary pullovers, with the GAA Crest on them. Remember the local club winning a tournament down in Cooley and the lads got a pullover each as well as medals and the trophy, which was a nice touch

Should have brought out a 125 year Anniversary Jersey instead of a bloody pin.

Thats what they were, thickish v necked wolly things, like Ronnie Corbet used to wear in his wee chair while telling yarns. Didn't want to use the word "jersey" in case they were mistaken for team wear on the field.

They have brought out special 125 year jersies. I shelled out 45 quid in O'Neills in Newry for the Armagh one.The purpose of the pin though is that they can be worn on a daily basis, at work, socially etc, all year round, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the GAA's founding, thus raising awareness and promoting the association. Mind you in some parts of the six counties its risky enough even wearing a pioneer pin never mind a GAA one.

Whatever you do, don't wear it in Tesco  :)
